Casualty Claims Adjuster

Casualty Claims Adjuster

($70,000-$90,000 Annually – based on experience)

As a Casualty Claims Adjuster at Badger Mutual Insurance, you have the opportunity to join a relationship-based company grounded in compassion, protection, and a commitment to developing the success of our employees. In this role, you will primarily manage general liability claims, workers’ compensation and Medicare related claims, ensuring timely, thorough investigations and fair, equitable resolutions. Your work will focus on delivering cost-effective claim outcomes while balancing regulatory compliance, medical coordination and exceptional service to our policyholders and partners.

What Will You Do?

  • Review claims against applicable policy coverage to determine validity
  • Obtain reports that are pertinent to the investigation of the claim
  • Review statements, interview witnesses, and analyze medical bills and repair estimates
  • Assist policyholder and claimants by coordinating repairs through direct providers if applicable
  • Process regulatory filings, dispose of salvage and pursue subrogation as needed
  • Review claims data to identify opportunities to reduce overall costs
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with policyholders, agents, vendors and attorneys

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience
  • 8+ years of claims experience preferred
  • Medicare and Work Comp Experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage workload independently and effectively
  • A confident decision maker with negotiation skills
  • Good judgement, a great work ethic and highly self-motivated
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite software

Trust Advisor (Nevada)

Trust Advisor

($84,000-$110,000 Annually – based on experience)

We are seeking a hands-on Trust Advisor with a strong underwriting mindset to help us drive profitable growth across our western territory. This role is ideal for a sales leader who thrives at the intersection of relationship management, risk evaluation and disciplined growth.

What Will You Do?

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents, serving as both a sales partner and an underwriting resource
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and competitive positioning with underwriting discipline to achieve sustainable growth
  • Collaborate closely with underwriting departments to reinforce guidelines while applying sound judgement in the field
  • Represent the company at industry events, agency visits, and regional marketing initiatives
  • Provide underwriting insight and guidance during agent meetings, submissions and negotiations
  • Review and recommend risks within assigned authority, escalating when appropriate
  • Analyze regional production, loss trends, and market conditions to drive sales and underwriting decisions
  • Guide agents towards better risk selection, data quality and submissions practices to improve outcomes for all parties

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent education and work experience
  • 8+ years of Property & Casualty insurance industry experience
  • Commercial lines experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build rapport quickly
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • A confident decision maker with negotiation skills
  • Good judgement, a great work ethic and highly self-motivated
