Service Center Specialist

As a Service Center Specialist at Badger Mutual Insurance, you have the opportunity to join a relationship-based company whose foundation was built upon compassion, protection, and fostering the education and success of our employees. Working in the home office in Milwaukee WI, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers that exceeds expectations.


  • Provide superior customer service to all internal and external customers
  • Assist customers with basic claims inquires, policy changes, billing inquires, and payments
  • Research and resolve complex customer service issues promptly and professionally
  • Assist other departments processing tasks as needed
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Develop an understanding of the customer service function in various departments
  • Maintain customer service productivity and quality standards

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent industry experience – Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience
  • P & C license or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire (paid for by Badger)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent active listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Flexible with the ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask using technology
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to think outside the box to resolve problems
