Badger
Mutual Insurance Company sponsors the
Youth Wall of Fame and Teen Center at the United
Community Center.
Each year, in recognition of high
academic achievement and dedication to community service,
Badger Mutual awards five students with scholarships to help
them further pursue their educational goals.
Community Relations Committee members
Lisa Filsinger, Brian Wiza and Kathy Wilcox volunteered to
be on the scholarship selection committee.
Congratulations to this
year's winners: Yazlyn Perez, Francisco Solano,
Katarina Vergara, Pedro Hernandez and Veronica Sotelo.
All five
recipients are a positive influence in the activities at the
United Community Center and act as role models to other
local youth.
We are proud of our association with the
United Community Center which provides programs to Hispanics
and near South side residents of all races and ages in
education, cultural arts, recreation, community development
and health and human services in an effort to help
individuals achieve their potential by focusing on cultural
heritage as a means of personal development. |
