As a corporate citizen since 1887, Badger
Mutual Insurance Company has pledged continued support to
the community where we work and conduct our business.
Our employees have dedicated their time
and talent to many charities within the community, with
special attention to those charities located in our
immediate neighborhood. Badger employees contribute
through the company and volunteer many hours of their own
time, participating actively in fundraising efforts,
community organization
committees and mentoring local students.
National
Night Out Block Party
Our 24th Annual National Night Out block party was held on
Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Our neighbors, friends, kids from
the Don and Sallie Davis Boys and Girls Club, Board of
Directors, Sheriff David Clark, 2nd District Police
Department Officers and Community Liaison Officer Gloria
enjoyed grilled hamburgers, corn on the cob and all the
sides prepared by Badger’s Community Relations Committee and
officers.
The kids were treated to special magic tricks performed by a
clown and prizes as they played Blongo, bean bag toss and
guessing games.
McGruff the Crime Watch Dog had fun with kids as well as
Kenny and Dolf, two german shepherds from the sheriff’s
department canine unit. Two other four footed friends joined
us, Joe and Radar, beautiful horses from the Mounted Police
Unit program. Kids and adults were able to get up close and
personal with all the animals. The
weather was great but the camaraderie was better.
